Cranial Sacral Therapy
with Therapist: Snjezana Dereta

CranioSacral Therapy is an exceptionally gentle yet extremely powerful form of treatment, which engages with the deepest inherent healing forces within the body. We absorb stress every day, but we can only handle so much tension before the tissues begin to tighten. This can affect the brain, spinal cord and central nervous system. CranioSacral Therapy releases these tensions to allow the entire body to relax and self-correct.

Myofascial Release
with Therapist: Snjezana Dereta

Myofascial Release is an effective hands-on technique that involves applying gentle sustained pressure into the Myofascial connective tissue. The treatment is performed without oils, in order to enable the therapist to detect fascial restrictions and apply the appropriate amount of sustained pressure to facilitate release of the fascia. This can help with trauma, inflammation, recovery and improve a range of motion within the body.

Reflexology
with Therapist: Leo Maria Holmes

Reflexology, also known as pressure point therapy, is a healing art developed in the 1900’s. The Reflexologist applies pressure using various manual techniques to certain points on the feet. Reflexology is used to clear congestion in the body to promote healing by stimulating the reflexes found on the feet that correspond to parts of the body.

Although one will feel the benefits of relaxation and a deep sense of peace following the treatment, as all natural healing arts address the cause of the disease, the healing time depends on the severity of the illness to begin with. Each body is unique and responds with healing in its own time and pace.
These treatments are not drug-related, so side effects are not common or expected. As detoxification of the body and healing begins after a treatment, one may experience flu like symptoms and fatigue. These symptoms are uncommon, but are not a concern. Continue regular treatment, and these symptoms should subside within a few days.

Psychotherapy Through Movement
with Therapist: Jenni de Knoop

Movement psychotherapy, also known as Dance Movement Psychotherapy (DMP), is one of the recognised Arts Therapies - Music, Drama, Art, and Movement Psychotherapy. Movement psychotherapy is based on the theory that the the mind and body are inseparable and are in constant interaction. The way in which we move, gesture and inhabit our bodies is a unique expression of our personality and a reflection of our inner life. This suggests that changes in the way we move affects our whole functioning and that by experiencing new ways of moving we can invite new ways of being. This form of therapy invites a deeper sense of self-awareness and realisation of one's body by blending verbal processing with motion, movement and creative expression. It is a flexible and holistic psychotherapeutic approach, which takes into account the whole person, and works in a way that is accessible and specific to each individual.

In the therapy session the therapists invite people to connect with their bodies to inform and support their process of self-discovery and personal development. Dialogue and verbal reflection blend where appropriate, with attention to bodily sensations, awareness of physical impulses and spontaneous movement explorations. Where helpful, music and a variety of props, natural objects and art materials may be introduced, including the use of symbols and images to gain insight into personal material. Working creatively in this way can help to externalise thoughts and feelings, giving space for new personal perspectives and expression to unconscious material.

Reiki
with Therapist: Leo Maria Holmes
The Japanese word Reiki means ‘Universal Energy’. Eastern medicine has always recognised and worked with this energy which flows through all living things and is vital to well being. This energy can be activated for the purpose of healing and bringing balance and harmony on all levels - physical, mental, emotional and spiritual. Although the teachings of Reiki are relatively new to the West, its origins are based in Buddhist traditions going back to 483BC. It is a gentle, non-invasive treatment that may be used safely alongside allopathic and holistic health care expanding treatment options.

Reiki is traditionally used for stress related conditions, recovery from illness, relief from pain, anxiety, bereavement and poor sleep quality. Benefits reported by clients and patients include: healing, energy amplification, stress release, toxicity & emotional release, an increase in awareness and creativity, relaxation and a peaceful sense of wellbeing on all levels.

During a treatment you will lie comfortably as the practitioner places their hands gently on and over the body allowing Reiki energy to flow to you. There is no pressure, making it ideal for treating the elderly, pregnant women and those recovering from surgery.

Zephorium Reiki
with Therapist: Leo Maria Holmes

Taking Reiki to a deeper level in this multisensory experience, the treatment includes the annointing of oil on the brow chakra, gentle hand massage & clearing of the aura. The oils, creams & aura sprays used contain Lavender, Geranium & Neroli essential oils & homeopathically potentized Amethyst crystal for the brow chakra or Frankincense & Patchouli with Lapis Lazuli for the crown chakra all of which have profoundly calming & soothing properties. These organic aromatherapy oils and homeopathically potentized crystals are linked to the chakras - making the link between mental, emotional, spiritual and physical wellbeing.
When inhaled, they enter the olfactory system and directly affect the limbic system, the oldest part of the brain where our most primitive senses reside such as basic drives, instincts, needs and avoidances.
Together with the usual benefits of Reiki, this is an ideal treatment for releasing ‘stuck’ emotions, for those prone to anxiety or who are experiencing stress of any kind & for anyone who finds it difficult to switch off the mind & relax or sleep.
